Roch Bridge
Roch Bridge was built between 1910 and 1925 and spans the River Roch. It was built by joining up seven other bridges and is now one of the widest bridges in the world!
The River Roch starts in the hills above Todmorden in West Yorkshire and runs through Rochdale and Bury before meeting the River Irwell in Salford.
Did you know?
97.5% of the world’s water is found in seas and oceans and is too salty to drink, and of the remaining 2.5%, most is in the ice caps. This means that we all need to be careful how much fresh water we use so there’s enough to go round.
Make a change
Save on water use by having a shower rather than a bath wherever possible – but keep the shower short and sweet!
